As a dog lover as soon as you walk into this place you will fall in love with the decor! It's not everyday that the staff of an establishment goes above and beyond to answer questions and make a guest happy. I reached out to the manager inquiring where I could buy the beautiful dog clocks. The manager emailed me with the artist information and where I could buy them! Who does that?! I was very impressed and grateful to say the least. Despite the busy Friday/snowy night our host was all smiles and our waiter was amazing! We were craving sushi on this snowy night and they didn't disappoint. To open up our appetites we ordered the Spinach Salad+Gorgonzola Cheese+ Bacon. The Jumbo Shrimp (tempura battered, rolled in crackers, spicy aioli, ponzu) both appetizers were so perfect that we forgot we still had sushi coming! The two rolls ordered: Philly: smoked salmon, scallions, cucumber, cream cheese. Caterpillar: Unagi roll with avocado, unagi sauce, goma.

We love the happy hour half price sushi. Limited menu but enough variety to enjoy. They are very careful with food allergies which is super nice!

Great food, great staff and quick service. The restaurant has a beautiful layout!!! They have the bar side, then the sushi bar and behind both of those lies a beautifully lit restaurant!! The sushi is and has always been fantastic and fresh!!! One of the few places that I will eat sushi in utah (since we are "few" miles away from any ocean)! Summer lovin two fer ones... And great outside patio's to enjoy the evening sun! Locals love it and tourist's crave it!!!

I would give five stars just for the hamachi! Fresh yellowtail sashimi in the middle of the mountains in high Utah?!?! Never would have thought, but it was melt in your mouth tasty! In addition to incredible hamachi, we had grilled artichoke with insane black garlic aioli, seafood pan roast, truffle fries and the banana fosters bread pudding! All were to die for. The absence was great in the bar. They have a vast liquor collection, allowing for a myriad of cocktails for the classic boozer or the basic b*tch. Not mention an enormous wine list. Our service was good considering they were short staffed and only two guys running the whole bar/cocktail area. We were a bit hesitant going there as they have a little over three stars but they've simply been understated. The menu is perfectly developed, the decor is tasty and fun, the service good and the whole experience was spectacular. Thanks for helping make our trip to Park City as memorable as can be.

Great restaurant. Great food. Great service. Been there a bunch of times. Always a good time. Very tastefully done interior. Love the bar set up and the huge dining room. We've had several things off the menu but I tend to stick to the sushi, which is awesome. Everyone there is friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable time.

This is a nice, more upscale place with good food and very pleasant, live music. It's a shame they've invested so much into creating a nice atmosphere only to hire a waiter to provide deplorable service We ordered two entrees and a side. When the waiter brought the 2 entrees out, we inquired about the side dish. His response: "I only have two hands! " He then tells us our side dish will be right out. A rude, inappropriate comment, not to mention any professional server is able to carry more than 2 plates. Ok, so you'd think he'd go get the side dish after this. Nope. He goes right to the table next to us to take an order for 4 people. We figured what's the point in letting our entrees get cold while we wait for this guy to take other orders so we started eating. We made a good decision In hindsight because about 10 minutes later he comes to our table and says "I'm sorry - someone else took your side dish. I can get another one out in a few minutes." By that time we were more than half done with our entrees and figured by the time the rest of our order arrived we'd be finished eating our entrees so we just said forget it. I understand errors can be made and I can be forgiving in that regard, but not when the server has a terrible attitude, is lackluster and makes snide remarks like I've only got two hands. Here's a tip for you Mr waiter: a tip is NOT an entitlement ! You have to earn it, and you are going to get a lousy one when you provide deplorable service. I should have given your lousy 7% tip to your bus boy who was much better than you. It's a small town and not everyone is a tourist on January 2nd. In the summer and in shoulder season you need locals. I'll be back in a year or two in hopes they've replaced this guy. This place could be great but it's a case of one very bad apple ruining everything. I would like management to know the rest of your staff, including the hostesses at the front and the bus boy were very pleasant and professional.

Always a good night... Tuesday night early sushi / oyster / appetizers $5 specials are a great value... "buck a shuck" $ oysters...Very good Mac n Cheese / Brussel Sprouts w/onions & bacon... fun vibe and a local favorite... (I used to buy my lumber & building supplies in this building here 30 years ago..)

One of the best wine list in town. The best filet! Staff is excellent, friendly and inviting. As a local I appreciate the service.

This place is the beez-kneez! The manager is amazeballs! I've only been there three times and he knows my order and helps me right away! He's awesome. The host seems to be in her own world but who isn't at a young age. She should be more attentive but that's just my opinion. Will continue to go to this lovely, well-ran establishment! Again, manager guy is awesome! Give that dude a raise, he's always happy and puts me in a better mood. Especially when he's walking towards me with my take-out food!

Blind Dog is the place to go for good sushi and seafood in The PC. The service is professional and outstanding. The atmosphere is classic Park City with every variation of dog art you can imagine. On Wednesdays in the summer they have live music and buck a schuck with very good oysters. Also try the baked jumbo lump crab and garlic mashers. Extensive wine list.

Holy shit! I literally downloaded this app just so I could write a review on this. Everything about this place was fabulous. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the steak and short ribs were so tender and flavorful...talk about foodgasm; and the service, stupendous. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and the entire restaurant seemed to go above and beyond. I wouldn't recommend this for children but they weren't very so you could get away with it. We will definitely be eating here again, and again

READ THIS : I don't know what happened here but the result is total failure. We've been fans and loyal regulars for YEARS. Tonight's experience was deplorable. Paid 48 dollars for a beef based dish that was basically roast beef on mashed potatoes. They forced us to pay 18% gratuity for a party of 4 when our server was obviously a first year waiter. He couldn't answer basic questions about the menu and was non present throughout the meal. The BBLT salad was literally a head of lettuce with a single grape tomato cut on top, nothing else. It's bad enough to have a bad experience, it's fundamentally wrong to take advantage of loyal customers with a phoned in, pseudo wanna be lame attempt at acting like a legitimate restaraunt. Whatever happened to blind dog is immaterial. They'll never "see" the light . This has become The worst establishment in Park City. We are OFFENDED!!

Suprised this only has a three star. We had a large group of 15 for dinner while there during Sundance and didn't have a complaint from anyone. The food was really, really good including the Wagyu Beef, Lamb Shank and the Miso Black Cod. Everything the group had was great. We are looking forward to going back next year with our group. The only thing that I can say was not perfect, was the noise. It is extremely loud and you can barely hear the person next from you, let alone anyone else from the table.

Needed to update since my last review over 3 year ago. Always have sushi & cocktails. Last month I tried the Kobe burger. OMG! One of the best I have ever had. Cannot wait to have it again. Wow. Blind Dog is always great- super impressed with the burger now too. Drooling....

The old Russian saying that the fish rots from the head is true. The owner is a self centered premadona. The service is the same. It flows down from the top. Don't bother. Many far better places in Park City.

Food was fairly good, although somewhat pricey. However, ambience was poor. Piano player was loud at our table. Worse, unruly diners stood around a nearby table and shouted expletives for 10 minutes, like a bad frat party. $70 meals should be enjoyed in relative peace. Drunken diners should be asked to leave.

Kelson went above and beyond and created a great experience! He was attentive and full of knowledge of the menu. We did happy hour in the sushi bar and it was lovely! Austin (manager on duty) was kind and check on us a few times. The back waiter/busser who I didn't catch his name, (youngish guy with a shaggyish-do) was sweet and helpful to us as we are out of towners looking for the local spots while here boarding for the week. Everything was rad and we will be back before we leave :) thank you!

The food here was great BUT I've never had such poor service. My friend was charged $4 for half an avocado on her salad in place of cheese because she can't have dairy. I understand that the menu says you cannot have any substitutions but the waitress (Dana) never told my friend that it would cost that much extra. My friend told Dana that she wish she would've been informed of the cost and asked if there was any way it could be reduced..Dana replied by saying 'are you really going to argue over $4? Didn't you look at our prices? If you can't afford to eat here, why are you here? '. Rudest thing I've ever heard someone say. There was no reason for her to speak to my friend in that way. Besides that...she was extremely slow and outwardly assumed we were underage without even checking our IDs. It's unfortunate that the service was so poor because the food was great.

Only the best sushi in the world. Oh yeah and the bar and dining room are pretty cool too. BDG is my favorite place to take my wife on date night. Love it!

As we sat down and looked at menu we were told not to bother ordering the sushi because they were 45 minutes behind. We order other food that took a long time...but we were patient. After 25 minutes waiting for 2 desserts we canceled and ask for the check. The waiter gave us the check along with the 2 desserts packaged to go. He had the nerve to charge us for BOTH desserts. One had ice cream that was totally melted when we got home. The creme brûlée was cold. It was a negative experience.

Just ate the grilled zabeton and holy smokes is this a beautiful cut of meat. Family ordered sushi and as sushi people go they were satisfied to a t. Server was ultra patient with my relatives as they asked questions, which even put me on edge. Definitely worth a try.

FOOD IS GOOD BUT I WONT RETURN. I was curious why the high discrepancy in the reviews - either a 4/5 or its a 2. Now I know - this restaurant has no regard for customer satisfaction. the mantra here is "leave no customer $$ left unspent"! FIRST THE GOOD: the food. The 3 meat Meatloaf was great (although $25 is pushing the envelope here) the seafood 'pot' was very good too. The Miso soup was terrible (and returned) but clams, asparagus salad and other items were well done. NOW THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, POLICIES AND ATTITUDE for which I would not return: After our waiter dumped a full glass of wine reaching for a menu (which we brought and paid $15 corkage on) in my wife's lap and her friend seated next to her he quickly cleaned up the mess as best possible and gave her a wine list to order from but refused to comp the glass he served her!!! (he said "company policy not to comp alcohol"). And it was certainly not of the quality of the $65 Foley we brought that he dumped! Should at least offered something for cleaning bill (the ladies were dressed in best) or have comped the corkage - but no, nothing except an appology. And that miso soup the waiter took back after one sip - still showed up on the bill only to be reluctantly removed. Additionally, although the menu states an entree can be split for $5 we were told that ours would not be split that night because the waiter said the manager refused to allow it as "it was too busy to do so". Wow! Next: as I was driving up from SLC and it was snowing heavily that day I called to see what the cancel policy would be if we could not make it. The owner picked up the phone and informed me it would be $35pp PLUS 20% gratuity! (really - they are NOT the French Laundry). I and only made the reservation 12 hours earlier and the place was crowded so they would have no problem filling the table. (I wonder if the wait staff sees a $7 tip on all 'no shows' - NOT). Her (owner) suggestion to me was exactly "put on some snow chains and come on up" - the gall! Well at the risk of having my credit card (left upon booking) charged $252 to no show for 6 persons - I went. But won't back and neither will the 2 Park City couples that joined us! Obviously, the disregard for customer satisfaction starts at the top and the again mantra here is "leave no customer $$ left unspent"!..

Excellent sushi, steaks, seafood, and mac & cheese, and the crab cakes are fantastic. This place is off the beaten path (i.e. not on main street) but is definitely worth the trip.

We were all thrilled with our menu choices! From sushi rolls to the asparagus to the veal to the fries, everything tasted great. Our favorites were the Jolly Rancher roll, the firecracker roll, the Shishito peppers and the Bad Ass Salmon. All full of flavor! The only suggestion I would make is to scale down the menu. It was a little hard to sort through the choices and our waitress, while nice and friendly, did not seem totally familiar with everything. However, she did offer to go and learn more about them. It was a little overwhelming to go through everything and I'm sure certain items are more of a specialty than others. Overall, a place that should be on you list when you visit Park City.

Blind Dog is a great mix of Asian and American. The rolls (firecracker and hot mess) were great and we ordered a mix of different apps. The poke tacos were bomb and the "badass salmon" was delish! Kellie our server was awesome and we would absolutely come back if we returned to park city for another trip. A+!!

Disappointed. Called to make a reservation and they required credit card for same. No kids menu. Service was very good but the food was just okay and way overpriced. Kids had mac and cheese and tempura chicken which they liked. Adults shared ho hum large sashimi. Grouper special was overcooked. The miso cod was average. Would hesitate to go back anytime soon, especially as there are so many better options in Park City.

The food at the Blind Dog was absolutely delicious and the wait was short. Everyone was polite and the busboy was cute! The pricing was a bit high for what you get although I ordered the lollipop roll and it was delicious and filing. We had some pearl sake to go along with it and it goes perfectly.

Overpriced and Poorly Managed "Had a very nasty surprise at the end of dinner. The "special" rib eye we ordered turned out to be $68, about 50% higher than any item on the menu. Neither our waitress nor the blackboard indicated the price of the item. When we complained to the manager, we got a lecture on restaurant management and a story how they only break-even on this $68 steak. The manager seemed to be totally clueless about our complaint, and made no offer of any type of accommodation. With so many great restaurants in Park City, we will not be visiting this establishment again"

My boyfriend and I visited here for Valentine's Day while we were vacationing in Park City. We had a coupon for $25 off two entrees (look into the coupon books they have around town) which made this place a little less expensive, but still a splurge for us. We arrive 15 minutes before our reservation and waited about 5 minutes before the hostess would take us back to our table. Not sure why we needed to wait because it appeared the restaurant was mostly empty? Server took a while to come to our table and I think there may have been a mix up about who was supposed to be taking care of us, but once he came over things went smoothly. They boast an extensive wine list (well, whine list-this is a restaurant named after a dog) and a menu with a large variety. I did overhear another server telling a table that the sushi is prepared at the sushi bar instead of the kitchen so any rolls may not arrive at the same time as the food. I ordered the Very Cheesy Mac'n'Cheese with Vermont Cheddar with the herbs, tomatoes, and bacon. I always feel like a bit of a fool for ordering mac'n'cheese at a restaurant, but this was insanely good. Lots of cheesy goodness and a huge portion. My boyfriend ordered the Center Cut Filet and said the steak was cooked perfectly but was disappointed in the small portion size of the mashed potatoes. Overall, the food was great and the service was okay. I would love to go back to try more dishes!

Best experience for food in Park City Sushi was great tuna, oysters, brussel sprouts were excellent Meat loaf was a B plus...no room for desserts Service was friendly...had a great time...will go back again... Note... get rid of the TV fireplace...it's just sort of stupid..especially cause it has a blip.

Over priced for mediocre food. Poor service. Kind of a hit or miss place. I've been here several times over the years, last time was last week. I ordered the New York Strip for $38. I requested that my steak be cooked "medium". It came out 1/2 an hour later overcooked and dry. I couldn't believe it. Their chef need to come to Chicago and learn how to cook a decent steak. The waiter came over several times to take drink orders but never asked about our food. Won't be going back. Too many nicer restaurants in P.C. They need to publish the prices on their specials and reduce the number of items on their menu. Not sure if I was in a sushi joint or steak joint?

Definitely a LOCAL FAVORITE in my book. My friend, who i visit every year during sundance, loves to take me to Blinddog. The hostess (or assistant manager) obviously works very hard to make sure her guests are taken care of. We came in early for our reservation and she worked diligently to bring us to our table before our time. Which was a super sweet gesture because we could tell it was a busy night. She also explain menu after she walked us through the crowd to our table, which was in the Bar area. She definitely worked magic top get us in there at that time! There was live music and amazing food!! The handsome server knew the thoroughly knew the wine list. I'm sure the owner is to thank for hiring and training an intelligent waitstaff. We also loved that the cute manager came over to our table with our free desert for our friend's birthday! Which was such a surprise because we didn't even have to tell them! it must have been in the hostesses notes!!! The TVs in the bar area were also a very nice touch. And the food was timely and delicious.

Awful sushi, poor service. Chintzy wine pour, pretentious (champagne boxes around), loud piano music topped it off. I had california roll which was good (fresh crabmeat) until I nearly lost a molar on a piece of crab shell. The hamachi such was horrendous, too tightly rolled, the fish was warm, there was no sauce as promised, nothing, just a bad maki. Not sure about my friend's dish which cost about $30.00 but they couldn't be bothered to serve some bread. awful, just awful. don't like dog pictures looking at me everywhere, the place was freezing too.

I had a great experience here, both with the food and the service. My salmon and accompanying side dishes were excellent and I found the prices to be reasonable for a resort town. A great place for our ski group to come after a day on the slopes, far from the hordes of tourists and long waits on the main street. What really shone for me was the waitstaff, who treated us like kings. Let's be honest here - we were a bunch of college kids, probably a little less well-dressed and a little more enthusiastic than the other patrons. I wouldn't have been surprised if we were treated accordingly. But no - the servers were immensely polite and attentive, frequently commenting on how friendly and respectful we were compared to some of the college kids that come in. They even offered to let each of us pay individually so we didn't have to work it out amongst our large group, which would have been a tricky process considering some of us ordered small dishes while others spent enormous amounts on appetizers and sushi. Any issues I may have had were dramatically overshadowed by the staff, who made the experience so fun for us. If I find myself in Park City again, I'll be back in a heartbeat.

Love this place! First visit the service was questionable. Second visit, service was awesome (Paul)!! Every dish we had was awesome. The blackened flounder, Mac n cheese, filet mignon, breaded flounder appetizer ... The patio rounds out the great dining experience. Our new favorite place in Park City.

Our entrees were absolutely outstanding but the service was another matter altogether. We had to get up several times and ask another waiter for water refills. Appetizer forgotten completely ( fortunately we were not charged). Waiter never bothered to ask how entrees or cocktails were. He seemed annoyed we wanted desserts. Chocolate bread pudding was basically a day old muffin with sauce on top. It was a very disappointing experience mainly due to our waiter, Bama. I am normally a great tipper 20% or higher but I only left 10% and really didn't want to do that.

I went up this restaurant during Sundance, so I understand it will be busier than normal. To be straight forward, the service was awful. I'm a chronic water drinker, which means if there's water in front of my face, it is my personal mission to make sure the water disappears quickly. I sat through half the meal with an empty glass, because our server just stopped filling it. He stopped by frequently, delivering the food we ordered, but never with water. After all of our food came, we realized two of our courses never even showed up. He apologized, and asked if we wanted him to put the order in now, even though he said it may take awhile. Completely unacceptable. The food, however, was pretty good. The oysters were pretty top notch. We also had their tempura peppers, not sure of their actual name, but they were okay. The quality of the sushi and sashimi is pretty average, it's what you can expect of any sushi/steak house that's nowhere near the ocean. All in all, our bill was $300 (for 6 of us). If someone was giving me $300 for food, I sure wouldn't treat them the way I was treated!

Love this place! I love love love consistency! I've been going to blind dog since we moved to park city back in 1999! Of course a menu must vary with the seasons, food trends, and as the culinary world progresses. But I love a place that knows when they found a good recipe or a solid dish and doesn't try to fix what ain't broken! An example of this can be found in their Bad Ass Bakes (Mmmmm shrimp bake), Penny's crab cakes or *dreamloaf*, but my favorite is so very simple and taste of my childhood... their French Fries. Haha! I know! I KNOW!! They are Just Fries!!! But just one bite of a fry took me all the way back to my childhood. Eating dinner at the Dog surrounded by my family and their laughter. My mom ordering a side of fries for the "kids" when secretly it was for her. It's amazing how food, music, and smells can trigger such emotions & memories. The sushi here is amazing! They have a solid crew of sushi chefs that's been rolling around park city and some have been at the dog for ages. Of the specialty rolls my favorites are The Mars roll and the Jolly Rancher... The Mars for nostalgic reasons and the Jolly Rancher for its purrfect balance of flavors and textures. Though they sound similar they are playfully different. They both have shrimp tempura in the middle but the Mars has crab, tuna, and avocado as well as a little dollop of spicy aioli & finished with a little eel sauce and sesame seeds. Making it sweet, creamy, crunchy and delicious! 5/5 Whereas the Jolly Rancher Roll has the shrimp tempura, spicy aioli & thin slices of lemon on the inside topped with tuna, salmon, avocado, a spicy & sweet sauce and sesame seeds *drool* SO GOOD!!! This is one of my FAVORITE rolls on the planet... the sweetness and spice pair so flipping well with the lemon. *Last Meal* this would be one of the dishes. 6/5 We came to take advantage of their happy hour menu... which is huge! A ton of sushi or kitchen items to choose from we nearly ordered everything. Of the sushi the Shinto & Frida roll were my favorite, from the kitchen the philly cheese egg rolls, sweet fried chicken sliders, and the fries were all delicious! Miss this place terribly... Thanks for the trip down memory lane P & D!

While on vacation with my husband and 4 yr old- a friend of mine recommended this eatery and I was soooo happy that she did! We sat outside with a live band playing and enjoyed wine, sushi, and appetizers while my son played with other kids in the sand! My husband and I were able to ENJOY our food while our son played in the sand- which by the way- the food was awesome! So it was a win win for all of us!!!

Yum. It was SO GOOD. Blind Dog is a wine bar, sushi bar, and grill. Upscale ambiance, excellent service. Live music. Started the meal with the sea salt edamame and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Both were excellent- the egg rolls were one of the days features, and apparently "back by popular demand." I can see why! There were several menu items that jumped out at me, but none quite so much as the lamb special! At $55 it was the most expensive item on the menu. Didn't care!! The lamb came with cheddar grits and broccolini. They brought a steak knife to me- and said you really won't need this. I didn't. It was so tender- pulling of the bone. It was excellent with the grits and au jus. Presentation was beautiful. They seemed to have a New Orleans theme going for desserts. Offering Bananas Foster, Beignets, and one other item I can't remember. I had the beignets. They were not traditional style, more like churros. But they were out of this world! They came with a salted caramel dipping sauce. I had not marked this place to dine when I was looking for my trip, but I'm so glad I was starving- saw the restaurant and decided to stop.

We had a company dinner party at Blind Dog, so this might not be a dining experience typical for a normal lunch or dinner out. The ambiance at Blind Dog Grill is funky and fun, although it still has an artsy, nicer sit-down vibe that would make it perfect for a dinner date. The walls are peppered with fun quotes and pictures of dogs - inexplicably, I am partial to places that seem animal-loving or where someone's beloved pet is memorialized. Our servers were friendly and responsive. And the food was magnificent - I enjoyed every bite I had (and I had A LOT of bites). We were welcomed with big platters of sushi (spider roll, salmon, tuna, nigiri, something with an avocado sauce and another deep-fried roll in a spicy mayonnaise that was deeee-licious), and some sort of tuna tacos (I just called them sushi nachos when I was bugging people to try them). We gorged ourselves on the sushi only to then be presented with little burger sliders that were also oh-so-good, perched tastily on soft, sweet Hawaiian-type buns. I gobbled up one of those too. After those apps, I was almost too full for the actual pre-planned menu - but not quite. I picked the salad with goat cheese and bacon (good, but nothing spectacular ). For entree I had the wine-braised beef short rib, served with French green beans, Yukon mashed potatoes and crispy onion straws (melt-in-your-mouth, fork tender meat, perfectly prepared vegetables swimming in a rich sauce, so many flavors and very little need for the crispy onions). The short rib was homey, comforting and filling - I couldn't quit eating it even though I was so full from the earlier appetizers and salad. Everything finished off with a dark chocolate creme brûlée, which was HEAVEN ON A SPOON. One of the most crazy luscious and dreamy desserts that I have ever had - think pot de creme with a crackly creme brûlée caramel crust. Hands-down, the best meal I had in Park City, I would go back (on my own dollar!) in a heartbeat - and I truly hope I get the chance to!

Jan. 27th.- Be careful folks!! I had a tasty menu special called Escolar. It was very delicious but I was not told about the side effects of this fish. It caused stomach flu-like symptoms. I googled it and apparently it is on the FDA's hit list of bad fishes per the article. I ended up missing my film at sundance that same evening and it was very unpleasant the following day as well cuz i was scheduled for a early film and traveling back to Chicago.

Okay, here's a new one. I went to Blind Dog with my sister who was visiting for the first time from out of town. We asked to be seated at a table instead of the bar, which didn't go over well, I suppose because there was only one other table with guests. Service was awkward because our waiter didn't come over to the tables often. We didn't mind that very much since we weren't in a hurry. But the real kicker was at the end of the evening when the waiter brought my sister a sample of their new avocado soup. Yes, just my sister. I jokingly said 'Did you seriously just bring a sample for only one person at the table?' The waiter replied that it was all the manager would allow. One of the weirder experiences I've had in a restaurant. During a second trip to Blind Dog, our waiter recommended two wines to my husband. My husband asked to sample each. The waiter went to get the samples, and returned saying that the bartender said that this was not allowed in UT. Which is, of course, nonsense. The place is just weird. Which is too bad, because the sushi is good. But who needs this stingy toned weirdness?

We had a nice family dinner there and ate mostly apps. The beet salad was yummy, the grouper bites were to die for, moist inside and crispy out and served with a perfectly balanced home made chunky tarter sauce. It's in PC, so it's expensive, but not any more than any other decent restaurant. We had a couple sushi rolls, the lollypops were OK, and the ???? tuna and Jalapeno roll was also just OK.

I LOVE this place, from the darling dog statue, with a cast on his leg and patch over his eye, to the awesome food... They have the best crab cakes anywhere and I'm very picky. We eat here everytime we come to town and I've never been disappointed. Keep up the great service and great food!

Terrible service, sushi was Delicious. When we arrived the hostess asked us "why are you here?" By the end of the meal we asked ourselves the same question. Not nearly as nice as the original which had a cozy and laid back feel, the new space is cavernous and uninviting. We were seated and given half of the menu and no wine list and then it took over an hour to get our well above average sushi appetizers. The main courses were then rushed out and were either undercooked or bland but the mac and cheese was delicious. On the plus side, the staff was apologetic and tried to be accommodating.

We just arrived in Park City and my wife had made reservations for us in advance at the airport. She used to eat there all the time when she came to Park City to ski. It had been a couple of years since the last time and we found out they moved to a bigger place. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice hostess that seated us promptly. Unfortunately it was in an area where they waiter was being pushed beyond his capabilities. We sat at the table for over 30 minutes before we could place our order. I almost felt like pulling a Hells Kitchen and Leave and eat somewhere else. When we were finally served. The food was not worth what they charged for it. It wasn't bad, but it was way overpriced. Plus this place is not kid-friendly. Our 5 year old daughter cost us close to $15 to feed Mac n cheese. I don't think we have ever paid that much for a child's meal before. All in all I would say to skip it. There are far better choices in Park City.

I had no expectations going into Blind Dog and was pleasantly surprised. We were able to get in easily on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. We ordered a nice bottle of wine (will remember to bring our own next time) and ordered two salads to start. Both salads (house and beet) were enormous and definitely could have been shared. We then ordered four sushi rolls. I have to be honest, I really didn't like the Philadelphia Roll - the cream cheese tasted weird. But the Firecracker Roll and the Funky Roll were awesome. Dessert was also great - the churros were hot and the caramel sauce was the right amount of sweet. Our waiter Brian was attentive and fun to talk to. We will be back.

The place is overpriced, end of story. That said, we have had many very good experiences there and take visiting friends there all the time who tend to like it as well. Being a bit of a sushi snob, I shied away from if the first few times... but it's actually pretty decent. Oysters are excellent which is a random but pleasant surprise. The bad ass bakes are very good but again a touch pricy for the amount of food. The main dishes can be hit or miss so we usually go for one of the specials on the chalk board, last time was Duck breast and duck confit with roasted poblano sweet mashed potatoes with some other awesome stuff that I can't remember. Some of the other poor reviews seem to be around them not being able to handle a crowd- I've never seen it that busy, but if they're talking about during Sundance, well...

Love this place -- come every year during Sundance. Because it's not on the main drag (Main Street) it's a little easier to get a table. The sushi is fantastic. the lump crab heavenly. Have brought many groups here... everyone vows to return!. Great atmosphere, spacious.

Perusing reviews, I feel that yelpers have been unnecessarily harsh on Blind Dog. So, I've decided to take a stand and salute Blind Dog in all of its mediocrity. Is Blind Dog fabulous? No. Heck no. Upon walking into Blind Dog, I could not help but notice the decor. It was as if the owners combined a classic, East-coast seafood house, tossed in some over-sized mountain town furniture, and then handed a case of Budweiser to their builders and contractors. Surely those involved in the ambiance were intoxicated on America's finest. But, is it that terrible? No. If you're in the mood for a kitschy seafood place, and happen to live a coast-less existence, Blind Dog is pretty, pretty cool. Was the sushi decent? Meh. It's mostly rice. I'll stick to other vendors for my raw needs. But, the Zabuton of Kobe Beef was better than average (not to say great), and I did sincerely enjoy the rich, buttery sweetness of the Crab Bake. The service, however, was excellent. I am not being a penis. My server, Hop, was awesome. He made apt recommendations, kept his eye on my wine level, and showed just enough personality to keep us entertained without interrupting. Basically: If you can't decide where or what to eat, this is a solid choice - especially for out-of-towners who want to avoid Main Street, but still bask in the pomp and swank that is PC living. Expect an average meal at a Park City price.

Terrible service. Waiters were overwhelmed. Sushi chefs could not prepare food to keep up with a normal crowd. Food was very average. Off Main Street and clearly not worth the detour where the action is. Won't go here again.

I love Yelp. I always read the reviews on Yelp before visiting a restaurant, it means I don't waste money and generally have a good experience. However, when you are invited for dinner, it's a little rude to criticize your hosts choice of eatery, so I go to The Blind Dog Grill. New location in Park City, it is spacious and very cool inside. It's busy, very busy so people are clearly enjoying the restaurant. The specials are written in huge font on the wall-mounted blackboards. Very cool. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The server came over quickly and water was quickly delivered. Secret! Shhhhhh, most restaurants in Park City let you take your own wine. I'm too embarrassed to do that but my host for the night was happy to carry the several bottles of wine that were appropriate for the Saturday night after Thanksgiving. The service is a little slow but that was no issue, we had wine and great company. As people mention in other reviews, they push the Sushi. I only eat Sushi, when I can see an Asian chef with a sharp knife in plain sight. So I steered clear but one of our party had some rolls, they looked a little dry but were ok. Fish is the big thing here, wifee and two others had Barimundi specials and I had a sirloin steak. The food is ok, it's just ok. Not at all bad, nothing you would complain about but equally nothing I would feel good about recommending. The place IS very cool, the atmosphere is excellent, bar is fun. There are pictures of dogs throughout the restaurant. I like dogs. So, mixed feelings. Cool place but only mediocre food. In Park City there are many restaurants and I believe these guys will have to step it up in the kitchen and motivate the servers a little more if they want to do well in a restaurant saturated town.

I've eaten at Blind Dog At least six times this ski season (2012). Everyone I have taken including myself are never disappointed. The Bad Ass Bakes are all AWESOME.. The menu is extensive, while not overwhelming and it has something for everyone including the kids. I have been in the food business for over 25 years and have probably eaten at just about every restaurant in PC, Blind Dog keeps drawing us back. Highly Recommended.

Read through the other reviews so this one shouldn't come as a surprise...except to the proprietors who obviously don't read Yelp... The owners clearly spent a great deal of money on the interior. After all that dough, why would you let your help walk around like a bunch of zombies? Perhaps the worst energy from a staff I've ever witnessed. It wasn't at all busy when we visited yet getting anyone to even acknowledge us took nearly ten minutes. If this was my joint I'd be on the GM like a boot camp gunny to get the attitude and the energy to match the decor. After all, that don't cost a thing. Even so, the sushi = just okay. I say skip this place...

We had an awful meal here. The food was tasteless and the portions were very small which was probably best as one of my kids threw up immediately after we left. The service was slow and even though they gave us a free dessert it was tasteless despite being drenched in chocolate. Do not order sushi. First of all it arrived after our meals and the rice was overlooked and the fish seemed old- might be why my kid threw up ---. I can see why this restaurant had availability as anyone in the know would not go there. On a positive note my salad was good and thankfully that was all that I ordered.

Food was good - and service fine- and they just couldn't get the food out together and on time. Back up on the sushi bar- but frankly the service staff should def have communicated the challenge better- and offered solutions- a little disappointing for the money.

This is a very difficult review for me to write - we ate at the Blind Dog at the old location on our ski trip last year and really enjoyed the intimate ambiance, great food, and friendly service. We returned to the new location for our annual ski trip and found that everything we loved about it had changed. The new place has the feel of some sort of upscale cafeteria, and they now force you to use valet parking. Our server was very friendly at first, but was nowhere to be seen during the meal, which took more than an hour to come out. When we asked him to check on our entrees (after waiting about 40 minutes since we finished our appetizers), he seemed surprised and said everything was on schedule. The food was the most disappointing part. Both burgers were way overcooked, and everyone was pretty disappointed with the flavor and presentation. Most parts of the food came out cold. For the prices they're charging, the value here is pretty terrible. It just seems as if the kitchen is way understaffed, way overworked, and not paying attention to their execution. Our waiter never came to check on us, so we complained about the food after the meal was over. To this, he responded, "Why didn't you tell me earlier." The obvious answer that nobody said was, "Because you weren't around, dumbass." The worst part of all this is that we went during Sundance, which is when a restaurant would theoretically want to put its best foot forward. If we were at Blind Dog on a good night (especially considering we were eating late when the restaurant was about 2/3 full), I wonder what it's like on a bad one. Bottom line - there are plenty of other much better restaurants in Park City for the price, and you will be sorely disappointed by Blind Dog.

Overall, its good. I do not understand the theme. Seems like it is four places. Sushi Bar, Local Bar, Dinning Room and Overflow Room. Seems like they have lots of managers. Not sure what they all do. During the summer, they seem to be mostly eating at bar or hanging out with friends. The local wait staff are great.

So terrible, please don't waste your time. Service: slow slow slow. Took 2.5 hours to get through the meal. But, we were a big party, it was a weekend, that's ok. Food: felt awful the next day, definitely messed up my stomach. Sushi was the worst I have ever had, could not eat it at all. Tried rolls and nigiri. Both were old and fishy and had a weird texture. Seriously horrible. Kobe zabuton was meh. The meat was pretty good but the dish overall felt pretty heavy and greasy. Mac and cheese was all cheese no mac. Tempura veggies were not tempura at all, just deep fried and greasy. Save your $$$.

I'm a fan. I love the atmosphere and the food. The service seems to be a consistent problem, though unlike some, we had a waiter with a great attitude, just overloaded. I think serving such an extended menu (from sushi to steak) is killing the service. We had a bit of everything (sushi, soups, salads, steaks) and it all arrived sporadically and without order. We were not in a hurry, we were in good calm spirits and having wine so not an issue for us though the kids got a little antsy for the main meal. As I mentioned, we had multiple apps, salads, and dinners along with additional sides so we had plenty of dishes that our waiter kept forgetting to come back and clear (that's a personal pet peeve). Ultimately two if our sides were forgotten, but we had so much food, we just had him cancel those. Bottom line, food and atmosphere leaves room for some service forgiveness so just stay on your waiter until they work out their kinks.

Could not even tell you about the food because they do NOT want children at their restaurant. It is in a ski town with tons of families so wake up tons of kids love sushi these days.

Not constant. Sometimes it works out for you when you get a good server and the kitchen is doing its job well and, sometimes you get funked. The fish is usually fresh so sit a the sushi bar, but for the most part skip the regular menu or siting in the dining room.

Yum yum yum!!!! They take a bit of time bringing out the food but the food is great! I always have the Funky roll and Cinco De Mayo roll. Mmmmhmmm! The Cinco De Mayo has fantastic spice from the serrano pepper and a nice citrus too. The Funky Roll is so great it has tempera shrimp and this amazing sauce (it is so stinkin' good) it's a wasabi aioli, it's spicy and it's so so sooooo good I love it and the roll!!! They also have a lot more than sushi they have an amazing mac and cheese!!! The mac and cheese is a little bigger than I was expecting(Huge) but it's always good to share or take home for lunch or dinner the next day. So cheesy and delish!!! So glad it has new management and location at the old location it wasn't very good now it is really good.. not usually busy and very quiet and good service, dim lighting(Blind) and a lot of cute dog paintings everywhere(Dog) I guess we know where the name comes from!

worried about the new location as it is so big, and would Blind Dog still serve the same great food. yes the are. Great sushi bar, and table service. Nice to be able to find a free parking spot vs the meters on main street. Its great order the Shrimp or Crab bakes as a starter. yum

The Blind Dog is in a NEW location and leaves much to be desired. The old location was cozy and unique, the new location feels like a VFW hall. Drinks not so good, food is still pretty good but so much is lost with the new sports bar feel. Service very slow. Crossing it off my list.

The food and service were great. We were a group of 6 adults and 5 nine to 15 year olds. We shared some of the bakes and had sushi. All were pleased with the experience.

Can you give zero stars??! Slimy fish, lame lobster bisque, over priced and overall terrible! Don't bother wasting your time with this place... McDonald's would be a better choice and probably cleaner, have seen the in's and out's of this restaurants space...just don't do it. There are too many other great choices for dining out in Park City to waste your time and money here.

I enjoyed the general feel of the place, and the service was fine, but the food was mediocre. Some pieces of the vegetable tempura were very doughy, though other appetizers our table shared were adequate. I liked my vegetable sides (creamed spinach and mashed yukons) but the meatloaf wa just okay. The vanilla bread pudding lacked flavor and did not have the consistency I expect from good bread pudding. We had a great time, but it wasn't because of the food.

Excellent service. I'm always uneasy about ordering sushi rolls at a place that is not specifically a sushi joint, but was pleasantly amazed by three different rolls. Nothing mind-blowing... but totally great. The single-handed service to our party of two dozen merits the four stars. Would definitely go back as there seemed to be a lot of happy diners around the table.

Poor service ... no service .. there are better places to eat and drink in Park City. Went to see the new location for BDG in Park City. It's at what is know as "The Yard" ... a former lumber yard. Lots of space, and the renovation looks nice. During first visit we sat at bar and were served by a guy we knew from Spruce .. at the Dakota .. at the Canyons. This time, everything was fine. Tonight I took my wife, daughter, and her friend to dinner here. We sat at a table. Big mistake. Server was an a**... and I am being kind. It took forever to get any type of service ... and when we finally had our food .. he vanished. Others have written about the poor service .. and I agree .. it's pathetic. As for the food .. it's ok but not great. The portions are small, and the price is large. Drinks, especially wine, are small. For water refills we used a busboy. To get the bill we had to ask the mgr. To pay the bill we had to use a different server. While the food was ok, there is no excuse for this. So .... FYI .. if you dare to visit, sit at the bar. If you insist on a table, good luck. You're better off going elsewhere.

I'll admit the food was pretty good. The sushi we had was pretty tasty and creative and under very different circumstances I would have enjoyed it. But...as others have mentioned, there's a huge, huge issue with service. It's not just that it was slow. It was the fact that we were pretty much ignored and nothing was done to rectify the situations we encountered. Two of our appetizers never came out. But we never got the chance to tell our waiter since we didn't see him for about the next 45 minutes. Some of the entrees came out (as served by someone other than our server), and then we just waited for a very long time. Finally we found a manager to mention that a) we didn't receive two of our appetizers (which we didn't want at that point, but wanted to mention), b) we were waiting on all the sushi, and c) we hadn't had drink refills or water in a long time. The manager seemed satisfied telling us that the sushi gets backed up and it would be out shortly, saying it more matter-of-factly than apologetically. Then a bus boy came and filled our glasses, apologizing that he normally doesn't pour the water, which seemed rather strange that none of the servers could come since the restaurant was only about half-full. Also, one of the entrees we did get came out wrong, but there was no way we were going to bother sending it back. Finally we once again got up to tell the manager that we just wanted our check. Then they came out with the appetizers we never got and had cancelled. Then we got our sushi....one plate at a time. When the waiter finally brought the check, he gave the same pseudo-apology as the manager mentioning that the sushi gets backed up. Obviously he isn't making it, but not coming by for 45 minutes with drinks or to update us on the fact that half of our dinner was taking longer than expected was ridiculous. And they didn't even take off any of the items or offer complimentary dessert or coffee. Considering we had so many issues, you'd think they'd realize they should at least try to find out what would make us less dissatisfied with the meal. Congratulations, we'll never be back.

Recently we had the worst meal we have ever had in Park City. We are locals and moved here after Katrina. We eat out a lot find the food mostly excellent in Park City. We do miss new orleans food however so when we saw an add in the Park Record for a crawfish boil at blind dog we thought we would give it a try. We had not been impressed with Blind Dog recently though it used to be good but they had moved to big new premises and so we gat it a try. What a mistake. The crawfish were cold and so overcooked we could not get them out of the shell. The boiled potatoes were raw and the corn bread was gluey cold and inedible. Amazingly we had to wait about an hour for this mess. We did not eat it and walked out. y that time it was too late to eat elsewhere so we went home and opened a can of chille. We will never go there again.

Out of the 6 of us only 1 enjoyed his entree, too expensive for what you get, our fish was either undercooked or overcooked, mine was raw in the middle. My buddies hamburger was overdone - he asked for mustard and they said they had none. I dont get this place - the old location was great - who the heck is in the kitchen now????

We come to park city every year for sundance and we will never eat here again. They took advantage of our large party and automatic 18% tip inclusion and gave us the worst service. Half our group was done eating before the other half had gotten their food. We asked the manager to come to our table through the host but he never came. The table next to us ordered, got their food, and finished eating before we had our server take our order!. The seafood was mediocre and not worth the cost. Never again will we spend our money here.

Friendly, local place, could use some help here and there, but they try to please. This seems to be a locals place because even with the address you can't find this place at night without a GPS. Located in a industrial park by the looks of the place. If you driving down Kearn look to your right for a nice big illuminated sign that says "The Yard" because the Blind Dog has no signs on the street. Even when you turn into the parking lot you have to look for the small black letters "Blind Dog" on the side of the building. Need to update the space. We were welcomed by a friendly smile and hello. As she walked us to our table there are half walls to the left and right of the center hall. To the right is a salt water fish tank and two bars with some tables. To the left is the dining area. A few two tops and a lot of larger tables that could easily handle large parties. The menu offers a lot of options and if you do not see something you want, like my daughter who wanted chicken fingers, they made a plate for her. The apps were flavorful and service was fast. They need a little help on timing when they bring the food out. Our apps came out at all different times. The filets were good and they just need to be plated a little differently instead of just stacking everything on top of each other like a tower. Again, this a friendly place that really tries to please. The chef even was willing to give my little girl a small sample of his chocolate fondue when she just wanted a taste and not the entire order. The chef even brought it out to her and asked how we enjoyed everything.

This place is amazing! I can't believe this place only has three stars. The food is to die for. The sushi is GREAT (Mars roll is very good, so is the Prospector), the owner, bartenders and waiters/waitresses are so nice and very helpful. These people KNOW their food. Superb alcohol list too!

A kind manager let us sit to eat very close to the end of restaurant hours. Despite his kindness, the sushi chef was outwardly rude to us. Were we not a large group, tired after a very long day, we would have gone elsewhere. I won't be coming back here. The food in the end was okay but the chef needs to fired.

Very rude waiter. We waited 25 minutes despite a reservation. On top of that, I had called even earlier to confirm the reservation made through Yelp and they had no record of it. Sushi tasted old. Really can't recommend anything about the place except location (hence the 1 star). Our party was very dissatisfied.
